Made to Order

Each Veblenist strap is crafted specifically for you in our Chicago workshop. Production begins only after your order is placed, so each strap is made to your chosen leather, dimensions, and specifications.

Made-to-order craftsmanship takes time and care. Please allow approximately 7–14 business days (about 2–3 weeks) for production before your order ships. More complex customizations may take additional time.

Shipping & Returns

We offer complimentary shipping on all U.S. orders, and complimentary DHL Express on international orders of $199 or more.

Standard (non-custom) straps can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery; a $20 restocking fee applies to returns, and cancellations are subject to a $20 cancellation fee.

Customized straps are crafted specifically for their future owner, and are therefore final sale.

FAQ

What's included?

  • The watch strap (both the buckle side and the adjustment-holes side)
  • A tang buckle (as shown in the product images), in a width matched to your strap. If a customization means the strap doesn't fit our standard buckle, a buckle isn't included.
  • Quick-release springbars, if you've added them to your customization

Note: standard (non-quick-release) springbars and a strap-change springbar tool are sold separately.

Where is this strap made?
This Veblenist strap is handcrafted to order in our Chicago workshop.

How long until my order ships?
This strap is made to order, with a production time of 7–14 business days (about 2–3 weeks); more complex customizations may take longer. Rush production is available for an additional fee, depending on your timeline and specs.

How do I know which strap width to order?
Choose the strap width that matches your watch's lug width — the gap between your watch's lugs where the strap attaches. For more details, see our strap width guide.

How do I change or install the strap?
Watch straps attach to your watch's lugs with springbars. To fit a new strap, use a spring bar tool to compress one end of the bar, slot the strap between the lugs, and let the bar spring back into the lug holes — then repeat on the other side. If you've added quick-release springbars, no tool is needed: just slide the small lever to retract the bar and swap the strap by hand in seconds.

Can I use my own buckle or a deployant clasp?
Yes — choose the "Custom Buckle" option in the customization menu, and we'll ask a few questions to ensure a proper fit.

Are quick-release springbars available?
Yes — you can add quick-release springbars when you customize your strap. They come in whole sizes from 16 mm to 24 mm (no half sizes). If your strap's width falls outside 16–24 mm, we'll make the cutouts but can't include the springbars.

How do I care for my strap?
Wipe your leather strap with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from prolonged moisture and direct heat. Condition it occasionally with a quality leather balm, and store away from direct sunlight to preserve the color.

Great Strap! Was looking for something to use with my Jack Mason, wanted a quality leather strap that hopefully didn't have to be broken in yet was still sturdy enough to keep the watch in place on my wrist. This checks all the boxes! I'm excited to see how it patina's over time, its comfortable, soft, honestly I think its the best strap I've ever owned. I'll be purchasing more!

I'm very happy with my purchase of the Faro strap and would recommend buying one for yourself if it fits your budget, watch style, and taste. Let's start with looks. The Faro strap has a very nice pattern to it. It gives "well loved exploration watch" vibes to me. I know that isn't terribly specific but there's something about the rich, warm brown contrasting with the fading and dark streaks that leaves me without a more standard description. On my band, the lower strap happens to be lighter around the pinholes than the rest of the band. However, leather is a natural product and has variations in it. I don't see this as a defect but as a sign that this is made using a natural material rather than plastic. The leather picks up markings from hard pressure, which I'm sure will lead to some cool patina over time. In terms of feel, I was very pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the band was out of the box. Despite the sales page saying the band comes soft and requires no break-in period, I was skeptical. In fact, Veblenist's claim is absolutely true. The band was soft and pliable yet sturdy and comfortable out of the box. I was very pleasantly surprised by the degree to which I could customize the watch band before purchasing it and without additional cost. It's not just the lug width that can be customized. Veblenist also allows for additional holes to be drilled, quick release springbars to be added, and for short strap length, among other options. While I found I do not need the additional holes added for next time, I was happy with how easy customizing the band to my needs was. I had no issues with shipping. The band shipped within the timeframe given at purchase and I was provided tracking info once the band shipped so I knew when it would arrive. As you may be able to tell, I am a happy customer. The next time I need a new strap, Veblenist will be the first place I look.

The Faro strap works on a number of watches, but the vintage look and colors really work well with the patina on the Lemania chronograph dial. This is a really interesting strap up close and personal. The pictures online are nice but the strap has so much more character in real life. The quality and workmanship are both excellent.

Great!

Faro

Nice strap, but there were some markings on the leather when it arrived. It looked like it had been pressed against the insert one would typically use to make a padded strap (the strap itself is an unpadded strap). The leather is a pueblo-type leather, so upon bending it, you can’t see the markings. But, at this price point, I expected a cleaner product. Additionally, the hole spacing didn’t really work for me and I had to add an additional hole. Nice packaging, strap quality, and construction overall, though.

It’s great.

Great job as usual!

Faro

I looked everywhere on line to find the perfect leather strap for my Alpina blue dial. The Faro is perfect! It fits just right, and the tan color compliments the watch beautifully. The price point was also as good as, if not better than other pre-made bands. Thank you for your excellent craftsmanship. I will be back for future watch straps!

Absolutely amazing quality!
