Every review on this page was written by a customer after their strap arrived, and appears exactly as they wrote it. No review here was paid for, discounted, or rewarded in any way. A strap that doesn't fit the watch it was made for, or doesn't meet the standard we set for it, is a problem we would rather hear about and resolve.
Most of the reviews here come with a photograph of the strap on the owner's own watch — vintage Omega and Heuer, to modern Panerai and Nomos. Those photographs show the leather in daylight, on a wrist, after it has been worn. They are a more honest picture of what you'll receive than anything we could stage ourselves.
Veblenist straps are made to order in our Chicago workshop from shell cordovan, alligator, calfskin, suede, nubuck, and canvas. Every strap is made to order, so what you'll find here is a record of individual commissions rather than a catalog. This is the strap of my dreams. Robust, thin, and subtle yet highly detailed. I ordered the alligator strap in matte black but I asked to get a bund pad in Alligator made to go along with it. In love with this strap. Quite possibly the best alligator strap on the market hands down.
Seller was able to quickly rush delivery before a trip. The strap’s subtle color reads black, except it’s not. That ambiguity gives the strap dimension and interest, while featuring the star of the show, the watch.

Horween strap is beautiful! Really elevated my Grand Seiko snowflake... completely different ambience and much more classy than the OEM bracelet.
This is my first try at this brand and my first try at NATO style strap. I figured for $15 it would be a good way to see if I like both. The single picture in the description didn’t really inspire me to buy it but again, $15. I received it and immediately thought “this is way nicer in person” it feels well made with good materials and the colors look better in person. The holes in the strap very nice. Buckle and belt loops are nicely brushed and feel good quality. Packaging was overdone and excellent. Good first impression with the brand. As far as NATO style straps… it looks great on my watch but still deciding wether I like it or not. I know I like single pass straps but that isn’t offered for their nylon straps. Almost feels like the watch is on my wrist and I’m not actually wearing it. Doesn’t wear like it adds thickness but visually it does. If you like NATO straps this is a no brainer.

Best straps available. At this point I buy a Veblenist strap when I buy a watch and toss the factory strap in a drawer.
After years of buying budget straps, the 21mm lugs of my Frederique Constant drove me to Veblenist to get the strap I actually wanted. The instant I held it in my hands, I understood the difference between a $25 strap and a $125 piece. There is no compromise on this strap, including the leather softness, stitching, and padding. No break-in was required. It smells of a freshly finished saddle. On the Antares specifically, note that it arrived in a lighter tan, but it quickly patinas into a pumpkin orange. I suspect it will eventually patina onto a golden brown. This isn't a jab at the Antares as I have yet for any tan leather watch strap to remain tan. Though I rate the strap top quality, as other reviewers have mentioned Veblenist NEEDS TO ADJUST THEIR COLOR TEMPERATURE ON WEBSITE PHOTOS. Photos show a bluish-washed out strap and only customer reviews show it's true color. In closing, this strap has lead to me ordering more straps from Veblenist. I have wasted more money trying to guess and check cheaper options when I can simply pay more but order what I want, once.

I love the colour of the matte leather, and the way it’s made; however I was a little disappointed that after barely 24 hours on my wrist, the leather seems to be cracking horizontally. I’ve tried to pick that up in the picture here. Is that normal?

This leather strap is thin, smells delicious and feels soft. It fits your wrist perfectly the first time. As if you have worn it for a longer time. I think I’ll never want another.
Much shinier and plastic-feeling than I expected. Leather looks cracked and dry, not aged. Took almost a month to arrive. Ordered with custom padding but I can barely tell. Vet disappointed. For the price it’s nowhere near what I was hoping for. I can’t believe this is what I got for the money i paid.
Terrific straps. I have (5) of them. Really the only NATO I am a fan of, having owned many different brands over the years. My only wish…is they kept more in stock. I had been waiting on the OD 20mm and it sold out before I could finish my purchase on another I had been waiting for. The wait time for replenishment is really long (over a year for the one I was waiting on to come in) so if you’re on the fence with one available, jump in before they are gone, because I am not the only one who’s a fan of these terrific straps. 😊
Another great strap from Veblenist! Chocolate suede looks awesome with the vintage UN chrono. Supple and beautifully made as always. I have 6-8 Veblenist straps and love them all, thanks again team!

Perfection. It’s very sturdy while also being not too thick. You don’t get the bulky float of other Natos. Perfect execution of a Bond strap. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do one in a NTTD colorway. 🙏
