Tip Shapes Explained
When personalizing your watch strap, every detail matters — even the tip shape. Though small, the end of the strap that extends past the buckle subtly influences the overall character of your watch.
Types of Tip Shapes

-
Point Tip: The strap tapers to a sharp point, creating a refined and timeless look. Commonly found on dress watches, this style enhances classic and formal designs while pairing well with most modern timepieces — from chronographs to field and GMT watches.
-
Square Tip: The strap ends in a straight, squared-off edge, offering a clean, utilitarian aesthetic. It pairs beautifully with pilot, diver, and chronograph watches, adding a subtle, contemporary edge.
This design actually dates back to WWII, when German Luftwaffe pilots used large B-Uhr (Beobachtungs-Uhren) watches with long leather straps. These straps had square tips because they were easier to grip and fasten, even when pilots wore gloves in cold, high-altitude conditions. Over time, this utilitarian feature has evolved into a modern classic.
Customizing the Tip Shape

Note: Leather materials can be customized, though canvas, FKM rubber, and nylon NATO straps are not eligible. If no customization is selected, your strap will match the default style shown in product photos.
