Made to Order

Each Veblenist strap is crafted specifically for you in our Chicago workshop. Production begins only after your order is placed, so each strap is made to your chosen leather, dimensions, and specifications.

Made-to-order craftsmanship takes time and care. Please allow approximately 7–14 business days (about 2–3 weeks) for production before your order ships. More complex customizations may take additional time.

Shipping & Returns

We offer complimentary shipping on all U.S. orders, and complimentary DHL Express on international orders of $199 or more.

Standard (non-custom) straps can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery; a $20 restocking fee applies to returns, and cancellations are subject to a $20 cancellation fee.

Customized straps are crafted specifically for their future owner, and are therefore final sale.

FAQ

What's included?

  • The watch strap (both the buckle side and the adjustment-holes side)
  • A tang buckle (as shown in the product images), in a width matched to your strap. If a customization means the strap doesn't fit our standard buckle, a buckle isn't included.
  • Quick-release springbars, if you've added them to your customization

Note: standard (non-quick-release) springbars and a strap-change springbar tool are sold separately.

Where is this strap made?
This Veblenist strap is handcrafted to order in our Chicago workshop.

How long until my order ships?
This strap is made to order, with a production time of 7–14 business days (about 2–3 weeks); more complex customizations may take longer. Rush production is available for an additional fee, depending on your timeline and specs.

How do I know which strap width to order?
Choose the strap width that matches your watch's lug width — the gap between your watch's lugs where the strap attaches. For more details, see our strap width guide.

How do I change or install the strap?
Watch straps attach to your watch's lugs with springbars. To fit a new strap, use a spring bar tool to compress one end of the bar, slot the strap between the lugs, and let the bar spring back into the lug holes — then repeat on the other side. If you've added quick-release springbars, no tool is needed: just slide the small lever to retract the bar and swap the strap by hand in seconds.

Can I use my own buckle or a deployant clasp?
Yes — choose the "Custom Buckle" option in the customization menu, and we'll ask a few questions to ensure a proper fit.

Are quick-release springbars available?
Yes — you can add quick-release springbars when you customize your strap. They come in whole sizes from 16 mm to 24 mm (no half sizes). If your strap's width falls outside 16–24 mm, we'll make the cutouts but can't include the springbars.

How do I care for my strap?
Wipe your leather strap with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from prolonged moisture and direct heat. Condition it occasionally with a quality leather balm, and store away from direct sunlight to preserve the color.

This Strap has changed the entire look of my watch for the better. With the customization, I was able to get the perfect taper and length I needed. Works well with my deployant clasp. The Strap is very well made.

I ordered this strap for my Seiko SPB505 Alpinist and I think it suits the watch well. I’ve been wearing the strap for about 2 months now and it is proving to be durable. I specified the “padding” option and I would say this was a good choice. It’s a pretty subtle amount of padding and it gives the strap more structure to match the thickness of the Alpinist.

I misread the time it took to customize and ship the strap. By the time all was said and done, it was about 3 weeks from order to receiving the strap. I just opened the strap, and it was worth the wait. The strap feels amazing, it feels to be high quality, matches the colour of the photos provided online and looks great on my omiwatari. I plan to be a repeat customer.

I purchased the Mochachino Nubuck strap to provide a fresh look for my 10-year-old Seiko Astron SBX053, which originally came with a stainless steel bracelet. The new strap was carefully crafted to my custom specifications and really feels softer and lighter on my wrist. This is my first Veblenist strap, and I plan to order more!

Beautiful strap. Complements the watch nicely

Mochachino Nubuck

Absolutely beautifully made strap. I will be buying more.

Mochachino Nubuck

Low quality strap made of ultra thin material that also aggressively tapers to the buckle, and not recommended for any watch more than 36mm

Mochachino Nubuck

Very soft and comfortable to wear, beautiful color and texture, I love it.

Mochachino Nubuck

As always incredible quality. Won’t buy straps from anywhere else!

Mochachino Nubuck

This is a very high quality strap, supple feel, looks fantastic and well made. thank you.

Mochachino Nubuck

Great looking and comfortable strap. The only nitpick is that I wish there was just a tiny bit of bolstering or taper near the spring bars so that the bump from the spring bars isn't as pronounced.

Mochachino Nubuck

A beautiful and comfortable band, custom made to my length specifications so it fits perfectly. I’m using it on a black dialed watch with old radium style lume, and this color looks great with it. This is my second Veblenist purchase and so far I’m loving their products.
